Matthew Hannam is a film and television editor based in New York and often working in Los Angeles.

His career started in Winnipeg where he worked for the legendary Guy Maddin, he then moved to Toronto and made films with Bruce MacDonald, Don McKellar, Brandon Cronenberg and Denis Villeneuve. After editing Denis’ ENEMY he began working in the US with THE prize winning JAMES WHITE, produced by Borderline Films.

From there Hannam has edited career defining films such as SWISS ARMY MAN, IT COMES AT NIGHT, Paul Dano’s Directorial debut WILDLIFE and Brady Corbet’s pop music spectacle VOX LUX. He is currently working with Sean Durkin and his much anticipated second feature THE NEST.
